Windows 10

Free Upgrade Release Data is July 29th 2015

Before you upgrade to Windows 1o there is a few things you will need to know.

1)The July Free upgrade date is good for 1 year, after July 28th 2016 you will no longer be able to receive the free upgrade. So don’t be in a hurry.

2)The free upgrade is for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Users.  If you have Vista or Windows XP you will have to buy a new Copy Starting at $ 119.00

3)The free update is installed over your current version of Windows. If you want to wipe the drive and do a clean install you will have to wait and purchase a copy from vendor such as New Egg.com

4)If you have been keeping up on you Windows updates you should see a new little Windows Flag in the bottom right side of your computer. It will be white square made out of 4 white boxes. If your computer has this icon then your computer is ready to receive the update. If you don’t have the “white flag”, make sure your computer is up to date. Another reason you might not have it showing up is that your computer doesn’t meet the minimum requirements for Windows 10.

5)Just because they are offering a new update doesn’t mean you have to do it, make sure you ask lots of questions. You can always call us here at Panda Computers 509-665-6540 and we will be glad to help you.

6)If you are not sure if your computer meets the minimum requirements please click here to learn more from Microsoft’s Website.
